Dwarves hold a special place among the Mortals of Lendahnna, they are long lived, though not nearly as long as the Elves, and also are the source of the oldest artifacts to be found upon the plane. Partially subterranean these folk have been stalwart defenders of the harshest environments.

General Information

Dwarves are known to be valiant and proud ancestry in all of their skills and endeavors. Most hold an innate binding with the earth and land of Lendahnna. The Dwarves who have been living in the larger hill lands of Lendahnna, tend to be more welcoming in their societies with their people spreading creations, of brawn and brain, far and wide. While their Mountainous cousins are more defensive in their hold on the harsh places of the world. The average Dwarf lives to be around 400 years old. Most Dwarves are between four and five feet tall, with a typically more stocky build. Their skin, eye, and hair color can vary greatly depending on their homeland and heritage.

Origins of Creation

Dwarves were the second Mortals to be created by the Gods. As the Elves were their foundation of magic, it was the Dwarves that were meant to be masters of nature and molded from the land of Lendahnna itself. Soon building a decent rivalry with the monstrous Giants who began to rebel against the Gods and their creations.

Sub-Ancestries

Mountain Dwarves

Mountain Dwarves are those who primarily reside in the undercrofts of the mountains themselves. Their largest common domain being Oruk’s Mir and in the Moh’Drun Empire. These Dwarves were the earlier kind of Dwarves to be crafted upon Lendahnna and hold a long and bloody history with Giants of the surface and the Underdark.

Hill Dwarves

Hill Dwarves hail originally from the northern edges of Fersclen. These Dwarves historically founding crafting factions, or other civilizations of great reach. Now holding no strong single dominion upon Lendahnna, but finding themselves in all professions the world over.

Regions

Dwarves can be found frequently enough the plane over. However, Oruk’s Mir, Moh’Drun, Andurl, and any of the rougher natural places of Lendahnna tend to have more of them. There are a few places where Dwarves are very uncommon, such as Xev’Thok and the recently broken Umalte Phraki.
