Gnomes were the third of the Ancestries to be made by the Gods. They also possess a long lifespan, however unlike the magic of the Elves and Dwarves, Gnomes are more chaotic. These people being heralds of invention and change. It is said that the first open institutions of magical education were founded by the Gnomes.
General Information
Gnomes rarely stand taller than four feet tall, most being around three feet in height. Their bodies of various sizes and shapes with various skin, hair and eye color. However they usually have exaggerated and wild styles in their upkeep and clothing. Most have insight into various parts of the mind and some sort of magic.
Origins of Creation
Gnomes were created by the Gods very early into the creation of Lendahnna shortly after the Elves, or Gith, and Dwarves. While Dwarves brought a stable creation to the plane, Gnomes brought wild thoughts and innovation. However, during The War many Gnomes perished for their schemes and plans. Now they are a far less common folk.
Sub-Ancestries
There are several different kinds of Gnomes. Mostly varying based on their location of long standing life. Shifting over the years from a common ancestor.
Forest Gnomes
Forest Gnomes tend to have settled in the wilds of Lendahnna. Originating from the deep areas of the Ahnna Umalte near the Elven kingdoms. Some even becoming fully aligned with the Fey.
Rock Gnomes
Rock Gnomes originally came from the same regions as Dwarves in Oruk’s Mir. In the modern times these Gnomes are more present in the larger civilizations of the world. Finding footholds in all of the plane.
Deep Gnomes
These Gnomes rather than leaving Oruk’s Mir for places of civilization above ground. Ventured into the Underdark and made their home there. While some have gone above ground over time, more continue to reside deep within the earth.
Regions
Gnomes can be present anywhere in Lendahnna and have no single strong location they are present in. However, they are not wildly common in any location.
