Overview

This region is relatively new to the plane of Lendahnna. It was created nearly entirely from the fracturing of Umalte Phraki during The Relinquent, due to a battle against Dagon. Now a forest and jungle coast divided from harsh craggy shoreline and a nation struggling to adapt to being a maritime society.

Geography

The coast line of the Coast of Karist is mostly jagged cliffs due to the abrupt separation of the landmasses during The Relinquent. This does make navigating the waters near the shoreline quite difficult, but for the ships that can do so there is a lot to be gained in fishing and harvesting.

The forests and jungles along the coast have been in an adjustment period as their ecology has shifted greatly over the last century. Luckily they are not too dense as they were on the edges of the larger portions before the fracturing.

Climate

General

The climate of the Coast of Karist is very humid, especially after the fracture. The coastline regularly deals with heavy amounts of fog and the storms from the left over arcane energy are brutal. While the seasons do play a role it is not as much as the unfortunate location of errant climate from both the water and the Phrados Flatlands.

Seasons

The Coast of Karist does experience all of the season but they are not as volatile as the rest of Lendahnna.

Kholo

Kholo is the capital city of Karrim. This city is home to around three hundred thousand citizens and in the last hundred years has had to shift its focus from being a military foundation to a maritime trade city. With much of Karrim’s territory being severed in The Relinquent, it has left the nation still recovering and Kholo is no exception. It has benefitted from sea trade and allowing trade from the Moh’Drun Empire and Tarruset to funnel through there to be taxed.
